Paris, France: Texas-born Sam "Lightnin'" Hopkins began roaming his home state in the late twenties, developing a highly influential blues guitar style. Hopkins became one of the most successful rural bluesmen, performing all over the world. LeLoir photographed Hopkins at a Parisian nightclub.
